How do you go about hiring when the world’s flipped on its head? For Amy Fallucca, CEO and Founder of Bravent, it’s all about a practical approach.
A strong player in the HR consulting and recruitment business, Amy’s company does quite a bit for their clients. Many recruiters are there solely to fill shoes quickly, but that often ends in less-than-ideal situations.
Bravent’s approach is a bit different: instead of their clients paying one whopper fee at the end of the process — typically 20-30% of a hire’s first year salary, or a whopping $20,000-$30,000 on a $100,000 hire — Bravent acts as a consultant along the way, working hourly to bring their clients maximum value.
Where a firm that’s solely hire-focused may pass along “so-so” options, Bravent is focused on truly understanding their clients’ needs and delivering the perfect person for the job. That’s where the consulting angle comes in. They work closely with the client that needs talent, getting the comprehensive picture of what’s needed. They discuss why the hire is important, what that person means to the business, and set realistic expectations for salary and experience.
At the end of the day, this more personalized approach means happier hires and happier companies. People know what they’re getting into, and businesses get to know their prospective workers a bit better before signing on the dotted line.
During our talk, we’ll also cover how new technology has shaped the recruiting world, discuss how big data is coming into play in the HR world, give a few tips to our job-seeking listeners, and more.
